From Side Hustle to Movement: My Journey as a Black Woman Founder

When I started Giselle Stella, it wasn’t just about jewelry — it was about freedom. Freedom to create, to lead, to inspire, and to pour into something of my own. I spent over 20 years in the jewelry industry, rising through the ranks in corporate spaces where I was often the only woman — and almost always the only Black woman — in the room.

I loved the work. I learned everything from product development to merchandising and what it truly takes to run a retail business. But over time, I saw the gap: luxury was gatekept, markups were outrageous, and stories like mine were rarely seen — let alone celebrated.

The Turning Point

After becoming a mom to my daughter, Giselle Stella, my perspective shifted completely. I no longer wanted to work 10-hour days building someone else’s dream. I wanted my children to see that building your own is possible — and powerful.

My husband believed in me so much that he gave me the LLC for my birthday. That moment turned a dream into a decision.

The Foundation of Giselle Stella

Giselle Stella was built on faith, family, and the idea that luxury should be accessible without compromise. Every piece we create is hypoallergenic, water-resistant, and tarnish-free — not just because it sounds good, but because women like me need jewelry that moves with our lives. We’re working, mothering, leading, healing, and celebrating. We deserve jewelry that keeps up.

But this brand is about more than what we sell — it’s about what we represent.

A space that uplifts women, shares real stories, and builds legacy through style

This Is a Movement

Every order supports a dream — not just mine, but the dreams of every woman who wears our jewelry and feels more confident, seen, and worthy because of it. We don’t just create products. We create moments, impact, and energy that lasts long after you take your earrings off.

If you’re reading this, thank you for being a part of the journey. We’re just getting started — and I’m so glad you’re here.
